I have a journal that I write three positive steps that I took that day towards a healthier lifestyle. Sometimes, it's the only thing that I write in the journal, sometimes I write more. But if I'm ever feeling down or need a reminder on how far I have come, I can look at that journal.

We have a positive board at work. Here we write positives about the children we work with, and co-workers. I post little positives on my co-workers lockers...especially if I hear them having a rough day. The positive notes have made a real improvement in the work environment. More consentration on positives than negatives.

Great idea! Three positive things every day to help you get healthier adds up to a whole lot of healthier living. Using past successes to motivate you for future successes -- great! It's like SparkPeople streaks, but doesn't have to be the same thing every day. Doing different things and balancing is probably better than doing the same things. I like it. I like it a whole lot. Not that I'd break any of my current streaks, now.....

I really liked your comments; sometimes we forget how really blessed we are to even be concerned about our weight when so many people in the world are gong hungry.

Inspiration Journal
As one of my visual motivators, I have an inspiration journal that I write inspiring quotes in that help me focus on my weight loss journey and other goals. I write the quote which I often find on the site and then write a positive affirmation. This gives me something personal to reflect on when I need some motivation.
MORE INFORMATION:
For example, a great quote I got an email after a bad weigh in- "Banish discouragement and feelings of impossibility by working hard, doing more and not giving in"
I am doing a great job and I NEED to keep going. I will not give up
I had posted earlier about a dry eraser board on my frig for a to do list. I also use it to write down positive affirmations I come across. I write down any fitness tips I want to remember. I leave the tips up for a while before I change it to another thought. Nice way to reflect on past or present change.
I have a small note book that I have written down positive self-talk statements. I go over them 3 times a day and when I find myself say something unacceptable, I replace it with one of my positive self-talk statements. It really is making a difference.244 I am seeing the change in me!!
