I am trying to stay away from munchies and remember how thin feel then I am strong again.

Great tip! I end up snacking then skipping a meal because of it. I should be less worried about the clock, and eat a meal when my body tells me to (4:30 or the "typical" 6:00 dinner). Thanks for the tip :)

After you have determined that you are indeed hungry, MAKE SURE you have acceptable choices on hand - healthy nuts or seeds, fruits, veggies, hard pretzels, butter-less popcorn, etc. Then you will not be tempted to consume high calories fat-laden snacks!
If you commit to stop eating at 8 pm you defintiely will cut your calories. It is important to me because I get the munchies at night and have GERD I'm supposed to stop eating 3 hrs before sleep anyway. By committing to a cut off time I kill 2 birds with one stone
Out of Sight, Out of mind... and out of my mouth!!
I have to be sure to PUT every thing UP!! If there is anything out on the cabinets, I can't resist... I walk by and have it in my mouth before I know it. If I close up all snacks, cereals, etc and put them in the cabinet, I won't open it up and eat it. But if it is out, I'll eat it.

If I have the munchies, I'll cut up an apple, peal and section an orange and leave it in plane site for me to grab instead
