Yes, yes, yes! This works! I know I can handle anything for 10 minutes; if after that I still don't want to--I probably shouldn't be. That's only happened a couple of times over the years.

I have started doing more exercise at home and will sometimes just do a few minutes at a time. 60 jumping jacks here, 30 squats there, put on some music and "dance" around there....then it all adds up to not doing nothing!

I use that technique with so many other things in my life -- e.g., cleaning my kitchen, sorting papers, getting music practising done. I tend to think of "exercise" as going to the gym or the pool, but why not 10 minutes at home? It's a lot better than nothing! Thanks!

This really encouraged me! I do the same thing. I think, just for 10 minutes, and then I go on and end up doing it longer! I like working with my horses. THANKS!

Before you hit the snooze button...
Get up and go to the bathroom first. Then evaluate how you feel - if you're still dead tired, you probably need the sleep - go back to bed. But once you're up, you're more likely to feel like you might as well STAY up, and then you can get in that morning work out!

Just an idea to help you avoid the "I'm too tired" excuse for exercise!
When I'm tired, or wake up tired, I just don't feel like exercising. So, I tell myself I'll do an exercise video "half-heartedly" or I'll go walking "slowly". After I get going, I almost always get into it and finish strong!
If you don't have an icebox upstairs, there is no easy access to anything to eat, you have to think...Am I really THAT Hungry?? Do I really WANT to make that trip up & down the stairs again?? Trust me, it gets tiring. Added bonus, if you do decide you are that hungry & it is worth another trip up & down the stairs you automatically burn calories!

I learned this when my kitchen icebox went out! I'm TIRED of Eating!!! LOL
