My favorite butcher shop will run specials on ground beef and bone/skin-less chicken breast in 10# bulk.
MORE INFORMATION:
I buy 20# of ground beef and fry it all up in two hours. In batches, it has time to drain more fat off. The 10# of chicken breasts will fit in my crock pot. I spice it up and slow cook it. I package the meat up in 2 cup containers and freeze it. It saves meal prep time and dirty dishes.

I buy round steak and trim and grind it myself. I then form into pre-weighed patties and individually freeze them on cookie sheets. I normally do at least 20# at a time. I them am able to either use them for hamburgers or cook them for other meals calling for ground beef. I only pull out the ounces that I need. Pris

I love this idea I bought 3 - 5 lb bags of chicken breast but they are frozen, I could cook a whole or half the bag in freeze them so they just need heated. I also mix turkey and hamburg to save cals and fat could I precook those to?

I never thought of combining ground turkey and beef. That would be a great way of sneeking turkey into the family meals!!! I'm going to try it!!

Pre-Prep meats
Freeze your meats in marinades! I buy meat in bulk, cut off the excess fat and pre chop it then I mix up my marinades myself (so that I can use less fatening items and healthier ingredients) lable the freezer bag with whatever you are mixing up then throw it in the freezer and forget it until you need it- this saves me a huge amount of time- all I have to do is pull the bag of meat out of the freezer the night before and I have flavorful ready to cook meats the next evening

I really love this because I can buy meats when they are on sale and the meat has a huge amount of flavor!!
Pre cooking lean meats (watch for sales!) then freezing them in food saver type bags saves time, makes meal prep easy! Lean ground turkey, BBQ'd London Broil or boneless/skinless chicken breast thinly sliced. Freeze into meal-sized portions for your family (my bags serve 2)
MORE INFORMATION:
5 pounds of 99% lean ground turkey... cook it into crumbles. Cool, then spread out on a sided cookie sheet. Cover with plastic wrap, freeze overnight. Portion out into 10 freezer bags (8 oz each). Seal into ziplock freezer or meal save- type bags. Thaw bag in hot water to use in many recipes
When you have a little extra time, cook up an entire bag of dried beans. Then freeze them in small containers. That way, you don't have to buy the more expensive pre-cooked beans, you don't have to get all the sodium from pre-cooked beans and they are there for you when you need beans in your recipe. Less expensive and more healthy, it's win-win!!
