For all my weight loss (and moreover, maintenance), I have not been super concerned with how many carbs vs proteins vs fats, or good vs bad carbs, etc... I know I need a reasonable mix, and I know not to overdo anything. So yeah, I pretty much ignore the so-called nutritional advice, other than ..

MORE INFORMATION:
... to not overdo (read: overeat) anything in particular or too much overall. Proof of my success? I haven't put on more than 2 pounds at any given point since losing the wieght almost 3 years ago. And I eat ANYTHING I desire.

    I love to read / hear this. Yet, fear of overdoing is strong. A person must have great self-control to allow any and everything whenever. You have done an excellent job of controlling yourself. I have had to stop going to my fav Mexican Resturant because I eat too many chips before the meal. I hope to be able to handle this better.

    This is so true. I used restrict myself to the point of insanity and when I allowed myself to eat a "banned" food, I would go overboard. Now I have my dark chocolate when I want it and knowing that I can have it makes me crave it less. Great advice!!
