Aside from the dog's morning dump, it's good exercise to take your dog on walk of at least half an hour each day, if the weather permits.

Good advice & that's what I do, but if weather is bad the dog & I get on the treadmill for a 30 min. jog.

My pup tries to walk me on a daily basis but I am finally gaining control over who walks who. Now I walk her on a daily basis. Walking pup on a daily basis has helped both of us at so many levels. It did help us both with bonding, I am getting in better shape and we are both drinking a lot more water. We walk/jog/run between 3.5 to 6 miles nightly, if it is above 20 degrees outside we are outside enjoying the evening skies.

I don't walk with my dog, but I do take him as my running partner. We also run around our backyard for 15 minutes twice a day. emoticon

I have 2 dogs, and we walk 2 miles every morning. They have more defined "waists" than me!! emoticon

My dog is my "exercise buddy" I try to walk him every day for just over a mile. I'm hoping he will get in better shape too!
