I found a substitute for the milk shake habit that I was often heading to the deli for--applesauce. I keep a jar in the refrig now, and I put some into a glass and then drink it through a thick straw. The texture is the same, and I'm comfortable with it.....less calories for sure.

Craving a milkshake..Avoid those high calorie ice cream shakes.
Place a few FROZEN strawberries in blender with a 1/2 cup skim milk. Blend on high until thick, top with a fresh strawberry and a dollop of fat free Cool Whip. Yum! Any FROZEN berries or frozen peeled banana (cut into peices) can be subsituted for the strawberries.
