When walking at a track use the lanes to keep track of your mileage. Start off in lane 1 and switch lanes everytime around track by time you finish lane 4 you have done 1 mile. Easy way to keep track and set goals by lane walking or running!
A lot of towns have streets and neighborhoods done up with holiday lights through the month of Dec (like Candy Cane Lane, Christmas Tree Lane, etc) instead of driving to look at the lights walk the lanes! Load your mp3 player with holiday music, put on those walking shoes and hit the road! :o)
