I have arthritis and am obese..I do take small walks (20-30min) a few times a week but I have learned through physical therapy that stretching daily builds the strength of the muscles, legs, and core..and the best part of it all..you can do it at home while watching TV..and it feels so good! try it!

I was eagar to begin to walk/run. But I failed to stretch before beginning. I ended up with severe tendinitis, which caused me to put my walking/running regimen on hold until my tendinitis healed. So a word to the wise properly stretch before exercising or you pay dearly for your mistake.

I do my stretching/pilates exercises before I get out of bed.... while my body is still warm and the snooze button doesn't go off for another 5 mins... I added this to my daily devotional time..Pray. Stretch. Eat
