I find that using Sparkpeople more than just once in the day helped me maintain and lose my weight! I know there are times when we can't always do that but when I log in more, I feel more accountable of my day.

I've found the best way to use the trackers is to grab a few minutes 3 times a day. I can do this at work if I'm quick. When I first sit at my desk in the AM, when I take my lunch break, & in the evenings at home. Avoid the trying to recall what I ate method this way. And that made a big difference for me. I could see if I was getting off my plan and could correct it.

I agree. Even when away, I write down what I eat and log when I get home. It has kept me on target.

I love Spark people I stay logged in all day long. I know there is a lot of this I just do not know how to use but I use the Nutrition tracker and that is my most important thing after my special, friends of course Pat in Maine.

I agree. I try to log on every day. The weekends are hardest for me to log on, but I try to plan my meals at least 4 days in advance so that when the weekend rolls around I have my printout and can just follow that. I feel bad when I miss a day of points though...trying to go for that gold cup!

I try to log in every morning just to check in & go over my goals as a reminder before I leave for work. I log in again in the evening to track all of my goals and take the time to read for extra motivation. SparkPoints are a great motivational tool!

I agree too!! I had some decent losses WHEN I made the time to log in a few times during the day! Then when I had a project at work, and didn't allow myself my "own" time... it all slipped away from me, and here I am with a 3# gain over the past two weeks!!
Gotta get in here several times a day... to keep my head in the game!
Good luck to you!

I love SP! It's my home page on two computers...which helps remind me log food, exercise and drink my water. It's Great!

I agree. When I log in more than once a day i find it extremely effective in keep me focused. If I log on only once, say in the morning, I have seen myself not pay attention to my food or exercise.
What is going on in my mind and heart when I binge? For example, I use food both for celebration and for stress. Binging is an expression that there is something I need to change in my life, but may not want to face. Knowing this helps me to break the habit of binging.
