It is amazing how much my grocery bill is "reasonable" when I shop the perimeter of the store and leave out all the junk food. My grocery budget not only has not changed, I have shopped healthier!

I never go grocery shopping hungry. This helps keep me from buying junk food due to hunger pains. And I always stick to my grocery shopping list - if it's not on the list, I don't buy it. This not only keeps me from buying excess or junk food, but saves me money by not picking up other items we don't necessarily need.
When i go to the grocery store, I go after a meal so im not hungry. Also, i watch what i buy. If i dont buy junk food i wont eat junk food. simple. it also keeps my husband and son in check on what they are eating too. I also dont go down isles that would trigger any cravings, like the cookies, candy, ice cream, chips, etc.
