Don'T Invite Stress In

Members Were Sparked
This Sparked Me!

I do not phone, email, text, etc. family and people having a stressful time.
Wait til they contact me. They will be more personable.
I don't need to jump in to "help save the day" getting in their face. Don't go looking for real or stupid stress that will result in emotional eating.

Waiting eliminates a lot of stress for me. Often the situation is handled well by the time they contact me. Or I can give a non emotional comment. And I don't make a bad situation worse or get my head bit off. I can be a positive person in the situation.

It depends on who you know, I suppose. Personally, I feel that people don't care about me when they leave me alone for a long time. Maybe you don't care about people. That could be the message you're sending to them.

Thank you for your comment. Stress has been eating me up alive this week.

This is some great advice, I live with family members that thrive off stress and chaos; I am an emotional eater and I have seen when I stay away from them I do not eat as much. emoticon
