I was told many years ago by my doctor to drink a glass of water first thing in the morning before coffee or anything else. it will rehydrate your body as you have been asleep for 8 hours. It also helps your body get moving and out of hybernation mode.

every night before i go to bed i fill a glass of water and put it by my bed. in the morning it's the first thing i see and i take it with me as i start my day. i get in my first 2 glasses of water easily, and i actually have come to enjoy drinking water first thing in the morning. it also makes it easier to drink it the rest of the day.
OK - I like the points I am not going to lie, however I love the fact of entering in the data in the morning. So one of the first things I do is drink all, yes, I mean all of my 64 ounces of water first thing in the morning so I can enter it. Now, everything else is simply bonus.
