Each Monday, I weigh myself to verify that I am within 3 lbs. of my goal weight. If I'm successful, I "reward" myself by putting a gel cling on the frig underneath my written New Year's Resolution to "Stay Svelte ( less than125 lbs.)
I use leaves, but you can use stars, hearts, whatever. When I see them pile up, I feel a sense of accomplishment. Keeping maintenance as a goal helps me focus on it, just like I did for my previous goal of losing 1-2 lbs. per week (for which I also "rewarded" myself with a gel cling on the frig.
