Ride your bike instead of driving whenever possible--commuting to work or school, running errands, etc. It often doesn't take much more time than driving, and it's a good way to squeeze in more exercise. Bonus: saves money, good for the earth!

It's hard for me to find "extra" time to exercise. Setting myself up to bike whenever possible instead of driving has helped me squeeze in more exercise. I've found that often, it takes me the same amount of time to bike as it does to drive (or only 5 minutes more), too.

I agree - I hardly use my car now, I tend to put the trainers on and walk everywhere. The only time I use the car is when me and my daughters do a weekly shop. One car journey for 2 family shops.

Riding my bike to work really helps me get my exercise in. I was going to spend time commuting anyway, so combining it with exercise makes better use of my time. I'm also more motivated to ride if I have to ride to get home.
When walking or jogging try a change of scenery instead of making the loops through your neighborhood. Take your kids out with you and make it a family outing so that they learn to have fun while being fit.312217
