Walking the dog is a great way to burn extra calories. Just having the added little pull on the leash increases that calorie burn. Try to walk the dog at least 2 times a day for an extra 200 calories burned.
Cardio is a great way to burn calories and fat, but it also burns muscle. Strength Training will build new muscle, which will also burn EXTRA calories (and replace the muscle you may have lost from all that Cardio.) Also, don't forget to eat a few more calories on your workout days. FUEL your body!
