No matter how much pain I am in, I know that the only thing that is going to help me feel better is to get up and move. As I am moaning and groaning as I move across the room, I make that special effort to do my stretches and warm up for that work out I know is going to make me feel much better inside and outside.
So My motivation is get up and move ( A body in motion stays in motion)

On days when I really don't feel up to working out, I remind myself to just "Do", do put one foot on the floor and let the rest follow. Inevitably, just taking the first step to "DO" something, leads me to do more than I thought possible!
Nothing needed but a positive state of mind--a body in motion...
Tell yourself that you are going to list your home for sale. Then spend 2/3 weeks doing repairs, cleaning out junk, putting stuff away and getting rid of items that you were meaning to throw away or donate anyway.
A great way to increase body motion and use different muscles.
Newton's laws of Motion (the short version). A body at rest will stay at rest. A body in motion will stay in motion until the force behind it stops pushing.
What that means for people, you have to expend energy to make energy. Get up, get moving. The more you move, the better you feel, the better you feel, the more you want to move. Energy is a self fulfilling. But YOU have to be the one to get going.
Find what works for you: walking by yourself or with your family/friends, aerobics classes or machines in the gym, tape/DVD at home, get out and play with your child... whatever it takes.
