2nd Shelf

Most closets have only one shelf above where the clothes hang. I measure the shelf, add brackets to hold it on both ends and depending on the length of the shelf a center support, if needed. You can only stack things so high and the added shelf lets you put seldom used items and use wasted space.

More Information:

You can buy prefinished shelves at a home repair store and the cost is minimal.

  • For renters: put pre-made shelves on free-standing supports and stand them on the shelf. This expands the space without making holes in the landlord's walls. - by JRBASKIND
  • This is a great idea, my closet is very small, this would really "expand" it. - by DIEGOGAL
