What works for me is having a goal with a "face" .. which means there is a powerful image that engages as many senses as possible.. so that when I'm challenged by a temptation to eat crap or not exercise, I can call upon the emotionally powerful image or "face" to keep my focus.. how do you know your goal has a "face"? when you really think of your goal, does it MOVE you? Does your heart beat faster? Do your eyes mist up? Give your goal a "face".. a plan and a deadline.. then talk about it!

I was never a plain water drinker but have found a solution that works for me. I have a 21oz glass and use it with each meal to get in the water; I also drink 8 oz before bed...Water solution....SOLVED!
The bathroom runs are ridiculous but when facing goals we all must do what must be done to get the job done
I am really struggling with this I have been eating whatever I want whenever I want everyday all my life. Me and my fiancÚs fav thing is to snuggle in bed with desert after kids go to bed and watch tv after supper time I do nothing cause I am so tired and my legs hurt so bad from all I have done so to stay on track I hung my fav pair of jeans in living room and in my room to remind me if I want to fit in those again I have to stay on track!
... about anything that might be getting in the way of your goals. You can seek out a friend, a confidant, a doctor, a pastor, a family member and you can talk face to face, on the phone, in an email, on a message board--but talk to somebody. It will help you to think things through and stay focused--don't go out and "chase bunnies!" Stick to your goals!306
Don't forget these goals can be about things other than your fitness and weight loss/ maintenance goals. They can be about your personal goals, financial goals, professional/ career goals, family goals etc... This is really important if something might be a bit problematic or worrisome.24
