Especially when it is slow at work I will walk around our warehouse for 10-20mins at a time. I also will take the long way around to get to the post office every day. Wearing a sparkpeople bracelet keeps reminding me to get up and move and also make better food choices.

I had forgotten how much I used to enjoy walking. I used to walk everywhere, just because I could. I purposely parked in the most inconvenient parking deck on campus the other day, and walked everywhere, just enjoying the beautiful day. Rediscover the joy of walking!
The more weight I gained, the less I walked because walking started to cause an unbearable amount of pain in my right heel. I used to think it was a heel spur, but I've discovered that the pain becomes more bearable (and occurs less often) the more weight I lose!
To make sure I get my cardio in everyday I checked all the other cardio listed on the MY FITNESS page here and saw that walking, house cleaning and snow shoveling are listed. I never thought of those as cardio. Now I make it a point to walk everywhere: kiddos to anf from school, post office, bank, everywhere I can. When I clean the house I pump it up with my favorite music and burn calories. It's working so far!!
