A key to getting into a healthy mental & emotional weight loss state is understanding what you really want, and why.

My most successful clients are able to articulate WHY they want to lose the weight, and picture what it will be like when they get there:
- Play with kids
- Reduce Rx dependence
- Dress size
- Feel more attractive, etc.

Pounds are like money - people don't really want money, they want the things money can buy. So don't focus on the # of pounds! Focus on the WHY!

    I believe, for good or for bad, being seen as competent, energetic, and motivated is connected to what kind of shape we are in. it is important to me to continue to thrive in my work and to be respected as a capable person who is disciplined enough to tend well to my health and well being. This is what I really want and that goal keeps me going.
