My most successful clients are able to articulate WHY they want to lose the weight, and picture what it will be like when they get there: - Play with kids - Reduce Rx dependence - Dress size - Feel more attractive, etc.
Pounds are like money - people don't really want money, they want the things money can buy. So don't focus on the # of pounds! Focus on the WHY!

When I don't feel like working out I push myself to at least start doing a workout, aiming for 1/2 my normal time. When I reach that goal I keep going, thinking since I already started, why not do another half? I always feel really good at what I've done by that point, why not feel even better?
Romaine lettuce leaves are a Great replacement for high fat/high calorie taco shells. They're crunchy, low calorie, and always on hand in my house. Just fill with fresh salsa & your favorite meat: carne asada, chicken fajita, or ground turkey w/ taco seasonings...
