A year ago I could barely stand at the kitchen counter to work as it was painful. After a year of SparkPeople I can not only stand to complete an entire project but now instead of standing still, I try to step in place from one foot to the other or flex my knees just to add a bit more movement to the day. I used to avoid walking across the kitchen to throw trash away so would save it up for a one time trip; now I carry each little bit to add to steps per day.
