We used to be a family that for dinner we had a main course of meat, a veggie, and a carb side dish. Since beginning this I have discovered if I can cut back on my carb side dish and filling it up with fresh veggies, I feel so much better! I consume fewer calories, I get the vitamins and minerals that my body needs, and I feel healthier and get sick less!

Having difficulty eating your fruits and veggies? Eat them at the start of your meal, when you're really hungry. They'll taste better if you're hungry than if your stomach is already full, and you won't have to make up excuses for not eating them. Works for me everytime, and in fact, this made me realize that most fruits and veggies taste in fact extremely good and are very refreshing! I'm no longer struggling to eat them, I just eat them first! 26745
In order to get a lot of the good stuff(fruits and veggies) in, I make smoothies which are easier to drink. 482 I find it really hard to sit and eat each fruit or veggies separately. I also cut up, sauté, and put my veggies in spaghetti sauce.267
I have found the easiest way for me to eat my fruits and veggies during the week is to pack them all on Sunday. I spend about an hour or so cutting up carrots and other veggies and bagging them in serving sizes. I then take my apples/oranges or whatever fruit I have on hand and I put them in groups in the fridge. This makes it easy to grab my healthy snacks each day as I run out the door.
