I have my moderately heavy weights under the coffee table in the TV room so to feel less guilty about wasting time watching TV, I work my upper body while sitting on the couch. If I have more energy, I stand up and do shoulders or squats - all the while not missing a beat on my favorite show!

I always put my TV on Fit TV before I shut it off so that way whenever I sit down and turn it on I see people working out, healthy ways to cook or motivating stories. This encourages me to participate with them, lift some weights while watching or get off the couch.
Not in a mood to strength train today or just don't like it at all? Get in front of the TV and start working out! Most of us spend a chunk of the day on the couch watching TV, so why not lift some weights during one of your shows?
You can use dumbbells, resistance bands, a stability ball, or even your own body weight. Check SparkPeople for a bunch of great exercises. I prefer exercising during a program that will keep me interested, but still focused enough to keep good form and stay safe.
