Not only will abdominal exercises strengthen your bones and the muscles of the back, but they'll also strengthen your entire midsection - which takes weight and pressure off your back. So add crunches to your routine as well as leg lifts and bent-over back rows. (You: The Owner's Manual)

When starting your fitness journey it is important know you do not having to spend allot of money. You can get fit without buying an expensive gym membership or fancy equipment. When I lost over 40+ pounds I was financially broke. I did it with motivation, a simple plan, and creativity.
Remember running, walking, pushups, sit ups, crunches and more are all free.
At the top of every hour stop do 25 sit ups and 25 push ups. If you can't do a real push up do the modified ones. This will not only get you into doing some exercise every day but it will also help you to increase the amount of push ups and sit ups you can do. Also helps to add stuff to your Fitness calculator.
When I take a bath, I like the do about twenty sit ups. There is no strain on my back because the water helps support it, and I plug my ears while doing them to keep water out, as well as to keep my hands beside my head. And once I'm done with my situps for the day, I get to lean back and enjoy the warm water and my cup of tea!
