I will take the long route around the house to get an item. I also try and take the stairs as much as I can. While waiting for the bus I stand and some times dance to my music. I also go out of my way to do the shredding in the office at least once a week. That way I get some steps in while shredding.

If you have older kids explain to them about one of the goals in your new healthy lifestyle is to get exercising. Give them a job of getting your moving. Tell them you will give any idea they come up with a try as long as they are doing it with you.
Exercise first thing in the morning after awakening.
You will never miss if you do something first thing in the morning. Anything after that, is icing on the cake. i even sleep in my exercise clothes once in awhile, say if I get to bed a liitle late--saves me time in the morning.
My favorite is to flip on Getting Fit channel, the program is there for you to join in and move!
