Cutting Out Or Down On Alcohol

I was losing very slowly until I went alcohol free for 40 days. Weight came off much quicker then. Now I strive for balance. Drink alcohol only 2 days per week max. Amazing what this little change can do to speed up weight loss.

MORE INFORMATION:
At 7 calories per gram, alcohol is a terrible choice for someone who wants to be healthy and/or lose weight. If I drink alcohol, I add a glass or 2 of water in between each alcoholic drink. I try to limit alcohol to weekends only. Its great to be able to have dessert instead and still hit my goal!

    When I first started this journey, this was a biggest problem, the days I went to the club I simply went over my calorie limit due to the alcohol.

Now with another BF, a different life due to change in friends I hang out with this is no longer a problem and I can stay within my range if I am focused.

    Noooooooooooooo. I looked at my nutrition tracker and while I am absolutely staying within the calorie guidelines I had several days in the last week where wine was near 20% of my calories for the day.

We go out with friends a lot and we all like to drink wine. Are wine calories actually worse than other calories for losing weight?
