I save every $5 and $1 I bring into the house. I try to pay only in cash because cash is so much harder to spend than using a debit card or credit card. I have a savings account that I put a certain amount of money into every month and treat it like it was credit card/bill. I purchase use whenever possible. For three months I have beeing doing really well.

  • I also do the same thing!! Although, I once paid for something using $100 in $1 bills... i wonder what they thought I did for a living.. lol - by CORTNEY-LEE
  • What a great idea about the debit card. I have thought about those pre-paid credit cards but the interest charge is huge. This "why didn't I think of that?" idea is going to be very helpful for my household. Thanks for posting! - by DUSTYPRAIRIE
