As I become that person I want to be, I sometimes forget the goals I have made. One way I found to remember is to wear a ring shaped like a knot. Wearing a ring all day is a lot easier than wearing a string around my finger, but you might choose a certain watch or bracelet or even a rubber band or any other visual cue that will keep you on track.
I like the jewelry as my reminder because it is pretty and was also a reward for achieving another goal. My ring is silver. Maybe when I get to my ultimate goal, I'll get a platinum ring or a ring with a stone.

Staying active doesn't mean get out and exercise. It means try to stay busy so you don't sit around and watch TV/Computer. These are the biggest no-no's when you are on a weight loss mission. If you find yourself getting hungry after dinner and you can't intake more calories get out and walk. This always does the trick.
And don't forget to stay motivated. Set small goals and keep them.
