When I get a phone call from someone who likes to talk and i know it's going to last a while, I just start walking around. If it's nice outside, I'll head outside and walk around the neighborhood. if it's too cold for that, I just walk around my house. It's amazing how fast those steps can add up.

Tip: Ever get caught in rain/snow/sleet? Take a few small plastic sandwich bags when you go on your walk, hike, sporting event...great prevention for anyone of any age who might be at risk for a wet phone/pedometer from wet pockets!! Easier than rice! 148

I have to drive my kids to school. Instead of heading home after I drop them off, I go for a walk. If the weather is bad, I just head to the local shopping centre for some brisk mall walking. Mornings only half over and I've got an hour of walking in - instead of going back to bed, or getting wrapped up in housework, or running errands.
I bring my head phones and wear my walking shoes, get showered and dressed as soon as I get up.
