When you're feeling hungry and are fighting the urge to snack, go drink a glass of water. Wait 10-20 minutes, and if you're still hungry, go eat a healthy snack. If the water filled you up, you just saved yourself some calories.
When I start getting hungry I go brush my teeth. I know it sounds weird, but with a clean month it makes me not hungry, and who wants to brush their theeth and then go eat Cheetos anyways? It keeps me focused and helps with that pesky self control issue.
