I like to watch TV while I exercise but I also like to use exercise videos (e.g.lWalk Away the Pounds). I use my computer for the exercise video with the sound turned off and I turn on the TV. This way I can Walk Away the Pounds and watch TV or a movie.

I don't know about you, but I don't like TV commercials. so, i mute them. I figured out recently i can get about 20 minutes of exercise during 1 hour of TV shows. So, i do arm exercises, jumping jacks, crunches, etc during the commerical breaks and know that i am getting some more activity in my day.
There is no way we cannot be affected by luscious, decadent fast food commercials! You don't realize how quickly a craving can take hold of your psyche! A split second and your keys are in your hand, your purse on your shoulder, and your resolve left sitting on the couch while you bolt out the door for that double stuffed taco or that rib sandwich and fries! A thousand calories later and your whole day's effort down the drain. Preventative measure: pause or mute the commercial and come back in 5
If you tend to make impulse buys or just want to save money, try ignoring commercials and not reading the flyers and advertisements in magazines, newspapers and other places. When a commercial comes on while you're watching television, mute the sound or leave the room. When shopping, go directly to the item(s) you are looking for, without browsing or window shopping.
If you don't know that an item exists, you won't want it. If you don't know what you are missing, you won't miss it.
