I love carbs and sometimes don't get enough fruit/veggies because I fill up on them. I started a new way of eating. I alternate between carbs & fruit/veggie choices. So for breakfast if I eat a carb like toast, then next thing I eat is a fruit like a banana. If I have a snack that is a carb like crackers, the next thing I eat is another fruit, etc.

I buy a bag of carrots and bring to work so everyday I can munch on some during lunch. I also bring in an orange & banana everyday. I have the banana as my mid morning snack and the orange at lunch. I also have a veggie at lunch and always a veggie at dinner. If I miss a fruit/veggie during lunch I just add an extra at dinner. This has really kept me away from unhealthy snacking and too many carbs. 30
Most days I have no problem getting my quota of 5. However on the days I need a quick boost I always keep a V-8 in the pantry (I prefer it room temperature) to add to my total. Tastes great and I know it's good for me, however the lower sodium is the one I select.
