I buy a big bar of dark chocolate and then break it up into 100 calorie portions, and wrap each piece individually in foil. This way I know there is chocolate in the house, so I don't have to panic and buy something at the store. And the chocolate is so intense that I never need more than one piece--I am so satisfied by just one!

Every once in awhile, we're going to crave chocolate. Dark chocolate is good for you in moderation. It's good for your heart, for one thing. What I do is buy a bar of Hershey's Special Dark squares and break them up. I put them in the freezer, and label the bag. 35 calories/square. I take my time eating one, and my craving for chocolate is gone.
Sometimes I just can't help giving into a carb or sweet craving. However, when I do have it I always try to also eat a protein along with it. I eat my dark chocolate square, and then a handful of almonds. I want chips, but I'll grab a couple of slices of lunchmeat to go with it!

It helps satisfy you longer than just having an empty carb that will make you hungry in a few hours. It also helps me eat less of the not-so-good for me item. Want a cookie? Have a slice of low-fat cheese with it. Want some candy? Eat some of the leftover chicken before hand and you'll eat less!
