I have two motivation collages posted up in my bathroom around my mirror. I had hopes that it would help keep my motivated, but I didn't realize that every time I do anything in front of that mirror, I find myself contently reading the quotes and looking at the pictures. I also have a list of goals on the wall just above the light switch, so I see it every time I walk in and out of the bathroom. It really does keep me motivated!

I had several pairs of cute capris, a couple of tops and a couple of skirts that I had ordered over the years and then decided they were too tight. I hung them all on my closet door to create a sort of three dimensional Motivation Collage. Every time I opened that door I saw those items there and couldn't wait to fit into them. The door is gradually emptying as I lose inches and add to my wardrobe!
I started phase 3 last week and my first task was a motivation collage. I collected pictures of all the things that motivate me.. Fruit, vegetables, dancers, swimmers, hiking, biking, growing old gracefully, my grandkids. etc I collected it into a folder & set my screen saver to slide show that folder.
I find that motivation starts waning if I do not treat it as its own muscle group. I need to schedule workouts for my motivation, determination and mental strength, just like I would schedule cardio, stretching or strength training.

Once a month, I schedule 24 hours to rethink my plan, update goals, work on my motivation collage, take measurements, put happy reminders on the fridge, remember why I'm doing this and hit the big fat Reset button. It's a chance to forgive myself for all my mistakes and move forward with a smile!
