I work in a Hospital as a secretary, and I am always cold. I find that if I fill my cup with water that is just cool enough to swallow with out burning my mouth, it is easier to get my water in while at work.
I learned this from older Chinese patients. They often keep a thermos at their bedside, instead of the usual ice watr picture.

Drinking a cup of warm or hot water seems to help delay the desire to nibble here and there. The warmth relaxes my stomach, and sipping replaces the grazing habit. I have also been trying to get at least half (four cups) of water done by noon.
I drink cool water to keep hydrated, it tastes better cold too. Cold water also burns calories because your body needs to warm it in order to process it. I drink warm drinks, hot tea, if I am feeling hungry. Warm/hot drinks make you feel satiated. It may not be the best tricks, but they are definitely helpful to me. Especially the hot drink 91
