I stand instead of sit while doing tasks, folding laundry, pc work, writing, reading also instead of making 1 large delivery of items to the bedrooms upstairs, I purposely make several trips up and down the stair's also do leg lifts and stretches while watching t.v. but really do not count.
I also wear my pedometer clipped to my waist even in the house and all day long so I have some idea of how active I have been. Many days I will also wear my 2 lb ankle weights while doing housework. All these little things add up after a while to a substantial no of calories burned.
