If I'm having a hard time getting motivated or if I find myself inclined to stop exercising a couple minutes into my workout, I chant my mantra (quietly to myself). I have two I like to use: "Fit not fat" and "6 not 16" (in reference to what size I am and where I want to be). It hasn't failed to keep me going yet!

Having a "mantra" as I exercise helps me stay focused and determined. For example, I just tell myself whenever my inner whiner starts shouting "please stop" I yell back (in my head of course) "QUITTING IS NOT AN OPTION" and it provides for better results because I stick to it!!!! 321
