I stopped looking at what I couldn't have and instead thought of and focused all of the things that I can have. The thoughts of deprivation faded faster than I imagined and I got excited about all the possibilities and options... Change is your choice, and even if you are scared... Do it afraid!!
No equipment necessary... All you need is a desire to want the benefits of a healthy/positive life, more than you want the perceived comfort you think you have remaining the same; which when you think about it, really isn't comfortable at all though....

Usually, I would jump all into dieting: change everything to fat-free, get the yuckiest stuff just because it's low-cal, turn away from every "fattening" thing I saw. That can only work for so long. I have made my changes less drastic this time around. Some low-fat items are really good. Some things you just need to eat as is and count it in your calories. Moderation & baby steps will get us there!
I like the low-fat Breakstone's dairy line (sour cream, cottage cheese) and I really like the 'ultra' or superskim milk instead of plain skim. Those little changes alone saved me a good many calories so I can eat the regular yogurt I really like. Nip & tuck, but you have to enjoy what you eat!
