To motivate myself to excersize and eat within my calorie range each week, I have modified a reward system I found on a message board here. I keep a clear jar on the counter, and a small calendar to highlight days in which I do some kind of excersize. I reward myself with 1 cent each minute I work out. One dollar for each pound I lose. 5 dollars for each 5 pound mark. one dollar per week I eat withing my calorie range all 7 days. ( I allow myself 2 days of per month for TOM)
MORE INFORMATION:
The money comes from the budgeted amount I have alotted to eat out for lunch each week, as well as the change jar that I have. So it might seem expensive but its really not. Its money I would have spent anyways, but Im putting it towards a bigger goal: my goal- weight reward is a new tattoo.

On my daily planner, I add a heart shaped sticker for 20 minutes or more of exercise I accomplish for that day. I enjoy seeing all the hearts add up!!! A powerful motivator and reward system!247
Putting the candy in a higher spot leaves me less tempted to eat it.

It used to be in a basket on a table where i would pick up a piece each time i walked by. Now its where i cant see it so i use is as a reward system now than eating it mindlessly.
I just made a Word document that lays out all the ways in which I'll reward myself for reaching each of my target weight goals. I've decided to reward myself in a small (NON-FOOD) way for every 5 pounds I lose, in a bigger way for every 10 I lose, etc., with one huge reward for reaching my final goal. Having it all written out, with encouraging words for myself, and sitting in the middle of my computer desktop is the ultimate motivation!
