I try to making sure i plan out what ill eat for the day and when i plan on eating. If i ever feel the need to eat in between meals i evaluate how hungry i am by thinking "Would I eat a vegetable right now?" and if yes then go for the vegetable. I also make sure on my "cheat" days i count in the calories from that meal

In striving for 10,000 steps a day, I walk the terminal instead of sitting at the gate and waiting for the plane to board.
Face it, planes don't leave early and there are plenty of boards listing departure gates and times to keep checking should your gate or departure time change. Besides - you'll have plenty of time to "sit" on the plane!
Out of Sight, Out of mind... and out of my mouth!!
I have to be sure to PUT every thing UP!! If there is anything out on the cabinets, I can't resist... I walk by and have it in my mouth before I know it. If I close up all snacks, cereals, etc and put them in the cabinet, I won't open it up and eat it. But if it is out, I'll eat it.
If I have the munchies, I'll cut up an apple, peal and section an orange and leave it in plane site for me to grab instead
I fly a lot with work. I find it is easier to maintain if I NEVER eat plane food or drink anything besides water. Even a McDonald's salad is better nutritionally than plane food, so I either eat at the airport or order something takeout at the airport during layovers and take it with me for long flights.
