Telling yourself you can't have something will only make you want it more.

When I tell myself I can't have something, I only want it more. My taking that "I'm on a diet I can only eat salad and fruit" mentality out of the equation, I don't psych myself out and end up craving something 100 times more.

    Every time I get something my husband thinks I shouldn't be eating, like ice cream, he will say "aren't you on a diet?" And, I explain that I can eat whatever I want, as long as I am accountable.
