If you hate the thought of staring down the numbers on a tape measure each week, use a piece of string or yarn instead! Wrap the string around the part you want to measure, then cut. Each time you measure, use that same piece of string. Now you can check your progress without being concerned with the numbers attached to it!

My granny taught me to cook using the family recipes which often read salt/sugar/pepper/butter/cream to taste. To break this habit I keep water & sip instead of tasting or rise mouth with Listerin before entering kitchen 334
Over the nxt year I'm working w my neighbor - does my cooking since stroke 2007 - to rewrite recipes making healthy & include measurements.224
Upon opening the refrigerator to mindlessly graze, ask: "Do I really need to eat right now, or am I snacking because I'm stressed, tired, or bored?" If it's really the scheduled time to snack, choose a healthy snack instead of the comfort food. If not, choose to shut the door instead of sabotaging the development of healthy new eating habits.
This prevents me from ruining the progress I have made with healthy new eating habits
My plea to everyone when using the Recipe Calculator...
Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I'd like to make a personal plea to everyone that creates a recipe & shares it on SP--Please, Please, PLEASE enter the measurements of all ingredients as well as the instructions for making a recipe! I've found several that sound so good, but they're impossible to make b/c the recipe doesn't include measurements/directions. If you're just entering it for your own sake, that's totally fine, but then there's really no need to "share" it. THANK YOU!
