When you start to get stressed, find a way to laugh. You can watch something on tv you know will make laugh, read a book or comic strip you enjoy or tune into a comedy station on Pandora. It gives you a break from thinking about whatever is triggering the stress and you might even be able to find humor in the situation when you come back to it!

Laughing is one of the best ways to relieve stress, change a mood, or an attitude. It jolts your thoughts into a positive thinking cycle. Simply watching or listening to someone laugh can trigger feel good endorphins to be released in the brain which helps reduce mental & physiological symptoms of stress. It's also contagious. Stress can derail our very best efforts. I have found when stress gets me down, I call one of my friends who always make me laugh. It just "tickles" the stress away with a few good belly laughs. No friend available? Utube is always available!! Search until you find something not that just makes you chuckle, but gets you seriously laughing right out loud! Laughter is one of the best cures for stress I know. 246 Truly, we need to Laugh Out Loud!

I found this morning when I was in the midst of my cardio routine that I was able to relieve some of the stress that has had me in it's grips for weeks. I was doing turbo Jam and Chalene(instructor on DVD) said find something you are passionate about (no matter what it is)and use that energy to punch and I did and oh it felt so good to release like that. I actually cried a little. I now have a weapon I can use against stress....Jab, Cross, Hook, Upper cut Punches - they work...for me 216
I also found that I can do this at my desk at work. If I am feeling that closed in stressed out feeling I can get up and do a little boxing. 104
