Flexibility is key to my success. I used to rigidly discipline myself to a strict routine only to last a month or two and then fall off. Instead of accepting a bump in the road....I was 'off' and the routine lost. All or nothing!! Letting go of my perfectionism and allowing 'life in' is a conscious choice for me now...if I drift occasionally, I acknowledge it as just part of helping me to stay on course. A gift and not a sign of my failure!

Approaching weight loss from a goal oriented stance has always ended unsuccessfully for me. After I adjusted my mental approach to it being a journey not a destination, I was able to make permanent subtle changes that have begun to show real sustainable change. I have lost 45lb in a little over six months and am actually enjoying my new life-stlye! SP has been an integral part of my success. Thanks SP!
Instead of approaching your weight loss as "I have 100 lbs to lose", approach it a little at a time. If you view it as 10 lbs at a time, or even increments of 25, your goal may seem more realistic. Most important rule, never give up.306
