I never considered myself a morning person, but I've trained myself to get up earlier and get my workout in before I go to work. That means I have to get up at 4:30 am to get in my strength training and half of my cardio before work...that's early but it gets my day off to such a great start!
I alternate upper body, lower body and core as my strength training routine, so I'm doing some form of strength training every day. I do half my cardio before work and walk on my lunch and breaks to get the rest in...no more "I'm too tired to work out" when I get home from work.

One of my lamest excuses for skipping my early am workout was that I didn't want to wake my husband up by rummaging around for workout clothes. So now I "make a pile" at bedtime, with everything I need right down to a ponytail holder and pedometer. So now my workout partner will send me a text that reads "MYP, 5", short for "make your pile, we're going at 5:00am tomorrow morning".
If you're trying to make yourself get into an AM workout routine but are not a morning person, don't allow yourself "snooze button" time. Set your alarm for the time you need to get up to get your workout in - setting it 10 minutes earlier so you can catch a few extra zzzs can too easily turn into 20 or 30 minutes.
