Set aside 200 cals for ingredients. Prepare a large plate of hors d'oerves with the ingredients. Put it in the front of the fridge. You now have something to grab when you open the fridge! You will be surprised how many snacks you can make from 200 cals. Use cucumber coins, tomato or veggie slices, lo cal crackers,1 tbsp whip cream cheese,or salad dressing, a cheese slice, deli turkey/ham, herbs and seasoning. Example: tomato,, dab of dressing ,sliver of ham. Be prepared!

The key is to cut up your ingredients and make as many pieces as possible using your 200 cal budget. Use salt and pepper and other seasonings like curry. You can make a whole plate of snacks using veggies as the base, a sliver of meat, a dab of cheese, etc.. Make them pretty!

I keep a bottle of cola in my fridge. Whenever I open the fridge it stares at me and I stare back, thinking "No way". With this little initial success I usually feel motivated to make a healthy choice when having a snack
When you are looking for something to eat in the fridge ,it's IMPORTANT to know the DATE of when a container was opened. I thought up a simple system that has helped me. I just opened a new container of cottage cheese today.When I am finished with my helping, I CLOSE the container and WRITE on it with a Sharpie permanent marker the DATE I OPENED it ~for example,OPENED 1/5/13. Then I know WHEN it was opened and how GOOD or bad THE CONTENTS IS without having to guess!

I have a calendar on my fridge, and everytime I exercise, I put up a happy face on it... So everytime I go to open the door of the fridge, it's a reminder that I have been doing great so far, so I just don't open that door and get tempted! 30
