I try to buy mostly organic one ingredient foods, or close to as possible. I've also cut out white potatoes, white rice, breads, pasta, flour, and sugar. It took almost 2 weeks before my sugar/carb cravings completely went away. I do have an apple every day either with nuts or almond butter for a snack.
MORE INFORMATION:
I eat only wild caught Alaskan salmon and seafood, along with grass-fed beef. No more farm raised seafood. I have a raw salad and a cooked vegetable with lunch and dinner along with seafood, chicken, or beef. Breakfast is eggs and veggies or oatmeal with walnuts or an organic whey protein shake.

I have been slowly changing our diets over the past year. Last year we focused on eating in more, less deep frying, batch cooking. This year we have developed a 3 phase system: Phase I (Jan - April) eat out couple times a month, start replacing meats with natural/grass feed/organic meats, buy top 12 dirty foods as organic, slowly replace foods with better alternatives.
MORE INFORMATION:
Phase II (May - Aug) eat out one time a month, all meats bought grass feed/organic, purchase all Dirty Dozen organic. ONLY clean foods in house. Phase III (Sept - Dec) - Eating out only 2 times a quarter, continue organic meats and buying organic dirty dozen and only clean foods in house.
