My fiancÚ suggested I keep fruits on the counter in the kitchen. That way I will eat them when snacking. I was a bit concerned as I feared they would spoil. See I live in the tropics where it not only hot but humid.
But then I found myself snacking on the grapes, apples and bananas before they even had a chance to spoil, instead of reaching for the chips and cookies in the cupboard. So now I wash my fruits keep them on the counter as my snack option.
I lost 2 pounds the second week of snacking mostly on fruits compared to losing only 5 in the previous six months
