You Are Not The Garbage Disposal

This Sparked Me!

You know what I are putting things away after a meal and there's a handful of olives, or a few slices of tomato, one little bit of leftover peas, maybe one solitary slice of pie or one dollop of whipped cream left over. You do not have to "clean up" the serving dishes to avoid putting away a single serving. I have to remind myself at every meal that every bite "extra" I take still counts on my daily calorie goals.

I've always hated throwing away food, but know if there is only one serving (or less) leftover the food is doomed a certain death at the back of the refrigerator. My solution for the "it's only a bite or two" leftover items is to pack a mini-meal for lunch the next day or later in the week.
